ANZAC Weekend

So our weekend started out with shopping again... We bought a new printer and the INTERNET yay! So we went with Bigpond, and spent most of the morning trying to get it set up. We had it installed, on and connected but... we couldnt access the net on it for some reason. After many many many minutes of Ben cracking it majorly, I found and gave him the technical support number to call. So he got on the phone to someone who told him he needs to activate it and gave him another number to call to get it activated. About half an hour later we had it activated and he was ecstatic because he finally got it working and he set up his first internet connection. We then went down the street to do a little grocery shopping and got Subway for lunch. AS we ordered our chicken fillet six inch and footlong sandwhiches we got to the cheese and we asked for tasty. She went to put chedder on our bread and we said "umm, could we have tasty cheese please not chedder" (whilst pointing to the orange cheese) and she looked at us and said I have never heard of it called that, we looked at each other then back to her and asked her what they called it- she said "Old english cheese". Well there's something different to Vic along with the bus zone and ticket system.

After a long saturday, going from phone call to phone call setting everything up, we decided we would have a quiet night in watching movies AND an early night for the ANZAC day march in rockingham sunday morning.

So sunday morning I went down to the street the march off was in and met up with benny and his group, we stood around talking for a while until he had to fall in. I then walked up to the end of the street as they organised themselves. As I stood on a corner waiting for the march to start, I got involved in a conversation with a little old lady, her daughter (a pre-school teacher) and her daughter-in-law. The lady's husband was in the march with her father and her young grandaughter (Lulu). She was originally from NSW and moved here when her daughter was 10 (which was about 15 years ago). They were so nice and welcoming. After all of the groups marched passed I headed over to the oval where the speeches were being held.

Ben before he had to fall in.

The guy in the Yellow Jacket (his group) is the family of the old lady I was standing with

There were so many different groups in the march I decided to just put up certain ones instead of having all these photos.

After the ANZAC service was finished Ben and I got some subway for lunch then headed back to the hotel, where ben spent almost 2 hours with Bigpond technical support trying to fix our net AGAIN... they endeed up having to put him through to some American guy. BUT it is all fixed now and our net is finally fully working YAY!!!.

We were going to go to the movies and see clash of the titans that night but instead we stayed in and went to bed early, after calling mum seeing what was wrong and having a good old laugh. We are so worried about her, but we love her and know that she will get through it. We actually ended up playing Heroes of might and magic before actually going to bed haha.

Monday morning came with Bacon and Egg toasted sandwhiches in bed ( I made them of course and Ben had them in bed...I joined hehe). He left an hour or so after to go for duty and when he got back we hired some Blockbuster movies. We then sat and watched 'Green Street Hooligans' it was quite a good movie. Has alot of action in it and is a little sad at the end.... But there is a sequal so I am going to watch that tomorrow as ben had to leave to go back to base.

So now I'm on my own again and there is only 4 days or 3 and a bit days until we are finally in our house YAY!!! It will be so good, we will have all of our stuff and Ben will be able to stay home. I'M LOVING IT!!!!

AMF Bowling and the beach

Last night Ben and I went Bowling in Rockingham. It was a league night so we had to finish before the leaguer's started to turn up, we thought yeah that would be fine. So we started bowling right after the lanes were oiled, which we really weren't used to. But we did fine and My first bowl was a strike so I was very happy and surprised, Ben's was also a strike - that put me back in my shell a little though haha. As we continued the glitches started to come out. First it was giving us an extra bowl in our 3rd frame (so it was pretty much the same as the tenth frame but 2 bowls was counted as 1) which helped ben get a strike :(. All these glitches worked towards ben but it was all good I still enjoyed my time bowling with him - even if I didn't manage to get a score of 100. I finished with a score of around 80/90 for my games wereas Ben got scores of 163/146 WELL DONE BENNY!!! haha.
After we finished bowling we were going to play a few rounds of Pool but decided against it because we didnt want to be surround by leaguers haha. So we went down to Maccas for dinner (yes I know, what was I doing hey. My run of home cooked meals is now down the drain) then had a nice walk home together. Which after, ben had to leave to go back to base, and that was the end of our lovely evening.

I have just gotten back from a lovely hour and a half walk along the beach listening to music, kicking up sand, splashing my feet in the water and taking in the fabulous view. It was so relaxing and I just love how comfortable this area is, kids are on school holidays yet when you walk along th ebach or through the streets you would think that the children are at school. It is so quiet and peaceful.

Welcome to Western Australia

So i had my first flight yesterday... went quite well but coming over WA there wasn't much of a view (all brown with black patches). There was many tears shed by my mum's before I left and if I had of stayed any longer with them I probably would have burst with tears... It was good having Leet, mum and jade over for dinner friday night for dinner and I love the prezzie's I got from Jonno and Leet. Such thought went into it hehe.

As I walked off the plane I had to try and unblock my ears because I forgot to get my chewy out of my bag so I had blocked ears and it took a while for them to go back to normal. This caused a little bit of a problem with the taxi driver though. I could barely hear him because I was temporarily deaf and he couldn't hear me quite well either coz he was deaf. But my ears cleared when I was about 10 minutes from the hotel and was able to hear my man's voice when I arrived.
The hotel is quite nice, it is like a little unit. We have a full fridge, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and LCD tv with dvd player and stereo.... PLUS we get free net YAY!!!

After dropping my bags inside and finally getting to hug Benny we decided we would go down to the shopping centre in Rockingham. We were originally going to walk there and it would have only taken about 15mins but about 1min down from the hotel was a bus stop to the shops and would be there in 2 minutes so we took that bus and when we got there it was after 5 so everything was shut. So we decided we would do our first grocery shop and then go home and cook our very first home cooked meal.
we brought everything we thought we needed for the time being. but when we got home and decided to cook we realised we forgot some vital cooking materials. Like potatoes, oil, vegemite and eggs, but Benny is going to get some of that stuff today. For our first home cooked meal we made creamy bacon carbonara- it was ok for our first meal but we will definately improve in the future.

Today we woke up early had breakfast and then went down to the shopping centre again today, but it wasn't open until 10. So we went to Macca's for a hash brown, video EZY an then Auto Pro so benny could get some stuff to clean and polish his Mbike. We then came home and watched the movie 9 after which benny went back to base to study for a few hours.

It is quite different not having anyone else here, but we will get used to it and we will call them all soon.
I will upload photos of hotel soon when i get my cord for my camera.

Already to go...

So I have spent this week at my mums catching up with people before the big move. It was really good spending time with my little sister and brother. I am going to miss them terribly and I am sure they are going to miss me too. Whilst there we went to my cousin Jen's place and I got to see lil baby Courtney one last time - she has gotten so big since the last time I saw her and is so cheerful. After leaving there and returning back home my older sister came over to see me before I left. We talked a lot exchanged songs and had a good old time until it was time for her to leave (with which came a few heartfelt tears.
Whilst mum and jade were over after dropping me home they helped pack up my room and move it all into the garage so we didn't have the removalist's coming in and out of the house. The room looks quite empty now. The next day the removalist's came earlier than expected which was a bit of an inconvenience but now everything is packed and on it's way to WA. I am now waiting for dinner to be ready as we are having a girls night with my mum, lil sis, mum-in-law and close family friend Leet over as a last night get together... This shall be a great night. especially because I have my lil sis staying with me and all my family coming to the airport with me.
My flight is tomorrow lunchtime and I cannot wait until I get there so I can be with my man. But everyone here will surely be missed very much.

My next post will be when I am in WA so Until then.....

Introduction

Now where do I start...Well I am currently in the process of organising the move to the other side of the country. I never knew how stuff you had to do to organise a move before now... and I don't even have to organise the majority of it. But the stuff I do have to organise has been mind bending. Looking at houses was a fun part - going through and seeing what I wouldn't mind having in my house, exploring the area (via google maps) :p, etc. Then there's the catching up with everyone before you leave part, man that takes up a lot of time... so much so I have to pack my suitcases almost a week before I leave because it is the only chance I have. But the good thing is I don't have to pack or unpack anything YAY!!!. That makes my to do list a hell of a lot smaller.
When I leave to go interstate it will be my first time in an aeroplane, so that is another adventure of it's own. I have been given many tips, like chewing gum, etc.
But all in all I am quite excited, and cannot wait to be over there with my man.

Below is a picture of our new place... It looks nice hey :
